Buying direct should not be riskier than buying on Steam. So the rule here is short: ask, and you get your money back.

Who sells Meco, and who to ask

Payments are processed by Stripe. Onelink, Stripe's merchant of record (the company that legally sells to you and issues the receipt, on Stripe's platform), is the seller for this sale.

Loren Aerospace Ltd makes Meco and decides the refunds below. Onelink takes the payment, issues the receipt and moves the money. Loren Aerospace is one person, so there is no department between you and an answer.

A refund, a licence or a download question is mine: email admin@mecorocketsimulator.com from the address you paid with. A question about the card, the currency or a payment that will not go through is Onelink's: reply to the receipt it sent you, which is the fastest route to the people who hold the payment.

A purchase of the game

Loren Aerospace refunds a purchase on request within 14 days of buying it, as long as you have not used Meco beyond trying it out. I take your word for it; nothing in Meco reports run time to the store.

No form, no reason needed. Say what you paid with and the money goes back the way it came. The licence and the download stop working when the refund is issued.

A reservation fee

A reservation fee is a small payment that holds your place and your price on a sale before it opens, taken on the reservation page.

It is refunded on request until the date in your reservation receipt, and that date is on the page before you pay. The fee locks the price, and it is not credited against the sale price, so refunding the fee refunds everything you paid.

Ask after you have used the reservation to buy, and the refund is recorded and your purchase keeps its price. Onelink can still refund the fee under its own rules, and the discount the fee bought you is not clawed back. Your purchase is covered by the 14 days above either way.

Onelink's window is longer than this

The dates above are what Loren Aerospace promises. Onelink has rules of its own as the merchant of record: a statutory cooling-off period where you live may apply, and it can issue a refund up to 60 days after a payment. Whichever gets you your money back applies.

The line on your card statement

The charge is not billed by Meco or by Loren Aerospace. Your statement shows LINK.COM* followed by a short descriptor.

If that line is what brought you here, it is your Meco purchase. Please email before you raise a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks and freezes the order; a refund is one email, issued the same day, and reaches your card in a few working days.

What happens to your record

An order and a refund are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they fall in, because company and tax law requires it. What that means for the rest of your data, and how to ask for erasure, is in the privacy policy.
